Trypanosoma brucei in rabbit mesenteric vessel showing leucocyte migration. Giemsa stained section. These parasites are normally detected and identified in the blood or in the CSF. Tissue stages are not usually reported other than demonstrations of trypomastigotes in fine needle biopsies from lymph nodes in early infections or as in this case, during research studies.
